UFO sighting? Police release eerie CCTV video – ‘we are not alone’ | Weird | News

Police have released eerie footage of a glowing round object appearing during a fierce thunderstorm in a remote area in Australia’s far north-west. The mysterious video shows the object tilted on its side before zooming into the distance. The strange object appears in the left-hand corner just after a lightning strike. Broome Police tweeted the CCTV footage and hinted towards a UFO, posting: “After reviewing CCTV at town beach of last night’s storm, it appears we are not alone”.

Twitter users were quick to react with suggestions, as one speculated: “Amazing looks like ball lightning. How lucky to actually see it first hand”.

Another questioned: “What is that???”

A third said: “How does this optical illusion occur? Refraction, reflection, ionosphere?”

A fourth believed the mysterious object to be from a car’s headlights, posting: “You know it’s just light refraction from the reversing 4WD right?”

The speculation follows a Harvard Professor claiming a cigar-shaped interstellar object, named Oumuamua, “could be an alien ship”.

The object sparked many outlandish theories, including how it could be advanced alien technological equipment.

Professor Avi Loeb argues it is scientifically imperative to at least entertain the Oumuamua alien probe theory until the evidence shows otherwise.

He said: “People got really upset and I think the reason for this is their prejudice about alien civilisations.

“There is all this baggage from science fiction and Unidentified Flying objects (UFOs).

“And that is why the scientific community shies away from discussing the search for extraterrestrial civilisations.

I think this is the wrong attitude because it is putting blinders on our eyes, like an ostrich sticking its head in the sand.

“I am not saying it must be the case but it should be discussed as a possibility.”

He added: “All I am doing is trying to motivate the collection of more evidence.

“If we keep saying something is just a rock and just dismiss any other hypothesis, we will never check whether we are right.”

A bride made the devastating decision to cancel her wedding to her partner of seven years after her dad revealed the ‘sexist’ demand his family had made behind her back.

The dad says his daughter got engaged recently and he had always been fond of her fiancé, who he thought of as “kind, humble and always respectful to our family”.

However, he says when he has met the man’s family for dinner on a couple of occasions, they made remarks towards his daughter which made him feel uncomfortable, including: ‘I don’t know why you’re working, isn’t that the husband’s job? It’s the mother’s job to be taking care of the children’.

As his daughter pair pressed ahead with their plans for the ceremony, the dad says her fiancé arranged a meeting with them both and his parents, adding that his daughter couldn’t be involved.

Gordon Ramsay has sparked outrage once again as a customer complained that a cheese board he received at one of the celebrity chef’s restaurants was “insulting” and “preselected”.

Previously, Gordon was slammed for the size of his steak and chips, was told to “get a grip” for the price of his fry-up and criticised for the roast which was compared to a ‘child’s portion’.

But the latest customer to be disappointed by the TV chef’s food was Simon, who visited the three Michelin star restaurant with friends, Daily Star reports.

Simon was ‘insulted’ after receiving a “preselected” cheese board, and took to TripAdvisor to leave a two-star review.

Their review said: “I visited GR hospital road on a Friday night with friends for a special treat.
